Marmarabirlik – Black Olives – 400 g

Marmarabirlik Kuru Sele are dry-cured black olives in a 400 g tub. The blue label reads Kuru Sele and Kurutulmuş Doğal Salamura Siyah Zeytin, which describes dried black olives cured in brine, and it gives the size as XS, 321 to 350 olives per kilo. Net weight is 410 g and drained weight is 400 g.

Dry-cured olives have a firm, slightly wrinkled bite and a deeper, saltier taste than olives sold in liquid. Set a small bowl on the breakfast table with white cheese, tomatoes and warm bread, or toss a handful into a salad. If they taste too salty, rinse them briefly under cold water. Keep the tub closed after opening and store it as directed on the pack.
