Kurukahveci Mehmet Efendi – Turkish Coffee – 250 g

Kurukahveci Mehmet Efendi Turkish Coffee is ground coffee made for brewing in a cezve. It comes in a brown 250 g tin with a tight lid, and the tin is marked Türk Kahvesi and 1871.

Measure cold water and one heaped teaspoon of coffee for each small cup into the cezve, stir once, then heat slowly. When the foam rises, take it off the heat and pour gently so the foam stays on top. Serve with a glass of water and a small sweet. Press the lid on firmly after each use and keep the tin in a cool, dry cupboard.
