Öncü – Pepper Paste (Hot) – 700 g

Öncü Acı Biber is a hot red pepper paste in a 700 g glass jar. The label says Gaziantep ev tipi, which means Gaziantep home style, and shows a red chilli pepper.

Stir a spoonful into the base of stews, lentil soup or rice for colour and heat, or mix it with olive oil and use it as a marinade for chicken and kebabs. A little thinned with olive oil also makes a quick dip for bread. After opening, smooth the surface, add a thin layer of oil on top and keep the jar covered in the fridge.
